The Cabot Trail Writers Festival unfolds over the weekend, enabling our visitors to take in an extraordinary literary experience and still make it back in time for work on Monday.

But if you can spare the time, we heartily recommend you stay a while, lingering on in one of the most beautiful places on earth at one of the most beautiful times of year. If you can stretch your stay another week or two, you can even catch some of the Celtic Colours International Festival (a world-renowned celebration of music, dance and culture), and spend the days in between hiking the highlands, driving the Cabot Trail or visiting the myriad artisans, galleries, beaches, restaurants and museums that Cape Breton is home to.
